Dig into these yummy treats for you and your kids. These 18 after school snacks are perfect snacks after a busy day. These are simple recipes you’ll totally enjoy.

1. Zucchini Pizzas

Ingredients:

• 1 large zucchini (thinly sliced)
• tomato sauce
• shredded mozzarella cheese
• small sausage slices

Instructions:

Place thin slices of zucchini on the baking tray.
Broil for 4 minutes.
Once done, spread a tablespoon of tomato sauce on top of each zucchini slice.
Add some shredded mozzarella cheese and small sausage slices.
Broil for 3 minutes.
Once done, serve immediately.
Enjoy!

2. Homemade Soft Pretzels

Ingredients:




• 1 1/2 cups warm water
• 1 tbsp salt
• 1 tbsp sugar
• 1 packet active dry yeast
• 4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• 2 tbsp oil
• 2/3 cup baking soda
• egg wash

Instructions:

In a large mixing bowl, add 1 1/2 cups of warm water.
Add 1 tbsp each of salt and sugar.
Mix well to combine.
Add 1 packet of active dry yeast.
Leave it for five minutes.
Add 4 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour and 2 tbsp of oil.
Mix well to combine until dough forms.
Add some oil into the bowl for greasing.
Cover the bowl with clingfilm.
Set aside for an hour in a warm place.
After an hour, the dough should increase in size.
Peel away the clingfilm.
Transfer to a work surface and divide into 8 equal portions.
Form each dough into a long thin rope, then shape into pretzels.

Preheat oven to 450 F.

Set a large pot over medium-high flame.
Fill it with water.
Add 2/3 cup of baking soda.
Stir to combine.
Let it boil.
Once it starts to boil, add the pretzels and boil for 30 seconds on each side.
Once done, transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Brush each pretzel with egg wash.
Place inside the preheated oven.
Bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.
Once done, remove from the oven.
Serve and enjoy!

3. Chocolate Peanut Butter Oat Balls

Ingredients:

• 1 1/2 cups natural peanut butter
• 1/3 cup honey
• 3/4 cup instant oats
• 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
• 3 cups melted chocolate

Instructions:

In a large mixing bowl, add 1 1/2 cups of natural peanut butter.
Add 1/3 cup honey, 3/4 cup instant oats, and 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips.
Mix well to combine.
Get 2-3 tablespoons from the mixture and form into balls.
Place them on a parchment-lined baking tray.
Place in the freezer for 20 minutes.
Once done, remove from the freezer.
Dip each ball into the melted chocolate.
Place the balls back in the parchment-lined baking tray.
Place in the fridge and chill for 20 minutes.
Serve immediately and enjoy!

4. No-Bake Cereal Bars

Ingredients:

• 1/2 cup honey
• 1/4 cup peanut butter
• 3 cups toasted oat cereal
• 1/2 cup yogurt chips
• 1/2 cup chopped almond nuts
• 1/2 cup dried cranberries

Instructions:

In a mixing bowl, add 1/2 cup honey and 1/4 cup peanut butter.
Mix well to combine.
Microwave for 45 seconds and stir every 15 seconds.
Set aside.

In another mixing bowl, add 3 cups of toasted oat cereal.
Add 1/2 cup each of yogurt chips, chopped almond nuts, and dried cranberries.
Pour the peanut butter mixture.
Mix well to combine.
Transfer to a square baking dish lined with parchment paper.
Spread evenly into the dish and press on the bottom.
Place in the freezer for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, remove from the freezer.
Remove from the dish and cut into equal bars.
Serve and enjoy!

5. Mediterranean Box

Ingredients:

• some cucumber slices
• 5-6 cherry tomatoes
• handful of grapes
• pita chips
• 2 tbsp hummus

Instructions:

Prepare a lunch box.
Add some cucumber slices, cherry tomatoes, and a handful of grapes.
Add some pita chips and hummus.
Close and refrigerate until ready to eat.

6. Americano Box

Ingredients:

• some crackers
• 2 turkey slices
• baby carrots
• 2 tbsp honey mustard

Instructions:

Prepare a lunch box.
Add some crackers, turkey slices, and baby carrots.
Add 2 tbsp honey mustard.
Close and refrigerate until ready to eat.

7. Parfait Box

Ingredients:

• 2-3 tbsp Greek yogurt
• handful of mixed berries
• some sliced almonds
• drizzle of honey

Instructions:

Prepare a lunch box.
Add a handful of mixed berries and some sliced almonds.
Add 2-3 tbsp Greek yogurt and drizzle honey.
Close and refrigerate until ready to eat.

8. Peanut Butter Protein Box

Ingredients:

• 1/2 apple (cut into slices)
• 1 celery (cut into sticks)
• a small handful of pretzels
• 2 tbsp peanut butter

Instructions:

Prepare a lunch box.
Add apple slices, celery sticks, and a small handful of pretzels.
Add 2 tbsp of peanut butter.
Close and refrigerate until ready to eat.

9. Lettuce Wrap Box

Ingredients:

• 2-3 lettuce leaves
• 1/2 bell pepper (julienned)
• 1/2 carrot (julienned)
• a small handful of edamame
• a small handful of chopped cashews
• 1/2 orange (peeled)
• 2-3 tbsp sriracha

Instructions:

Prepare a lunch box.
Add 2-3 lettuce leaves.
Add julienned bell pepper and carrot on top of the lettuce, followed by a small handful of edamame and chopped cashews.
Add peeled orange.
Add 2-3 tbsp sriracha.
Close and refrigerate until ready to eat.

10. Rice Cake Box

Ingredients:

• 3-4 small rice cakes
• 1 hard-boiled egg
• 1/2 avocado (cut into slices)
• 1-2 tbsp chili flakes

Instructions:

Prepare a lunch box.
Add 3-4 small rice cakes and a hard-boiled egg.
Add avocado slices and 1-2 tbsp of chili flakes.
Close and refrigerate until ready to eat.

11. Loaded Apple Slices

Ingredients:

• 1 apple
• peanut butter
• some chopped granola
• dark chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions:

Slice an apple into round cuts.
Core to remove the seeds.
Spread 1 tbsp of peanut butter on the apple slices.
Sprinkle some chopped granola and dark chocolate chips.
Serve and enjoy!

12. Stuffed Cucumbers

Ingredients:

• 1 can tuna
• 1 tbsp mayonnaise
• 1 tbsp mustard
• salt and pepper to taste
• 1 large cucumber (unpeeled)
• halved cherry tomatoes (optional)

Instructions:

In a mixing bowl, add a can of tuna.
Add 1 tbsp each of mayonnaise and mustard.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Mix well to combine.
Set aside.

Remove the top and bottom edges of a large cucumber.
Cut into 4 portions.
Scoop the middle section, but be careful not to scoop throughout.
Fill each cut of cucumber with tuna mixture.
Top it off with a halved cherry tomato.
Serve and enjoy!

13. Blueberry Fruit Roller

Ingredients:

• 3 cups blueberries

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 175 F.

Prepare a food processor.
Add 3 cups of blueberries into the processor.
Push until it becomes a puree.
Pour into a silicone-lined baking tray.
Spread and flatten the puree into a thin layer.
Place it inside the preheated oven.
Bake for 6 hours.
Once done, remove from the oven.
Carefully peel away the silicone sheet.
Roll up the blueberry sheet.
Cut to 1-inch pieces.
Enjoy!

14. Apple Fruit Roller

Ingredients:

• 2 green apples (peeled and chopped)
• 2 tbsp honey

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 175 F.

Prepare a food processor.
Add chopped green apples and 2 tbsp of honey.
Push until it becomes a thick sauce.
Once done, transfer to a small pot.
Set it over medium heat.
Stir and cook until liquid has reduced.
Pour into a silicone-lined baking tray.
Spread and flatten the puree into a thin layer.
Place it inside the preheated oven.
Bake for 6 hours.
Once done, remove from the oven.
Carefully peel away the silicone sheet.
Roll up the apple sheet.
Cut to 1-inch pieces.
Enjoy!

15. Strawberry Fruit Roller

Ingredients:

• 3 cups strawberries (destemmed)
• 2 tbsp honey

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 175 F.

Prepare a food processor.
Add 3 cups of strawberries and 2 tbsp of honey into the processor.
Push until it forms a thick puree.
Pour into a silicone-lined baking tray.
Spread and flatten the puree into a thin layer.
Place it inside the preheated oven.
Bake for 6 hours.
Once done, remove from the oven.
Carefully peel away the silicone sheet.
Roll up the strawberry sheet.
Cut to 1-inch pieces.
Enjoy!

16. Mango Fruit Roller

Ingredients:

• 2 ripe mangoes (peeled and chopped)
• 1 tbsp honey

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 175 F.

Prepare a food processor.
Add chopped ripe mangoes and 1 tbsp of honey into the processor.
Push until it forms a thick puree.
Pour into a silicone-lined baking tray.
Spread and flatten the puree into a thin layer.
Place it inside the preheated oven.
Bake for 6 hours.
Once done, remove from the oven.
Carefully peel away the silicone sheet.
Roll up the mango sheet.
Cut to 1-inch pieces.
Enjoy!

17. Easy Cheesy Crackers

Ingredients:

• 8 oz cheddar cheese (shredded)
• 4 tbsp softened butter (at room temperature)
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 cup all-purpose flour
• 2 tbsp ice water

Instructions:

In a mixing bowl, add 8 oz of shredded cheddar cheese.
Add 4 tbsp of softened butter.
Season with 1 tsp salt.
Mix well to combine.
Add a cup of all-purpose flour.
Mix well to combine.
Add 2 tbsp of ice water.
Mix well to combine.
Transfer the mixture on a work surface.
Divide into two portions.
Form into discs.
Wrap each disc with parchment paper.
Place them in the fridge and chill for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, remove the discs from the parchment paper.
Flatten each disc into an-inch thick dough using a rolling pin.
Cut into small squares.
Poke a hole on each square.
Place them on a parchment-lined baking tray.
Put the tray inside an oven heated at 350 F.
Bake for 13-15 minutes or until golden.
Once done, remove from the oven and cool for a few minutes.
Serve and enjoy!

18. Berry Yogurt Bark

Ingredients:

• 1 cup vanilla yogurt
• 1/2 to 1 cup mixed berries

Instructions:

Prepare an 8 x 8-inch baking dish.
Add a cup of vanilla yogurt into the dish.
Spread and flatten using a spatula.
Add mixed berries as toppings.
Place in the fridge and freeze for at least 2 hours.
Remove from the fridge and break into pieces.
Enjoy!
