5 Quick And Easy Microwave Mug Meals

Cooking delicious meals does not always involve using the stove or oven. These 5 recipes can all be made in the microwave oven! Each recipe only takes less than 10 minutes to make.



These meals have you covered from breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner, and dessert. No need to use any pots or pans. All you need is a microwave oven, microwaveable mug or bowl, a few ingredients, and you are all set to enjoy these meals.

Ingredients:

Microwave Granola In A Mug
• 1 tbsp of maple syrup
• 2 tsp of water
• 2 tsp of vegetable oil
• 1/8 tsp of salt
• 4.5 tsp of rolled oats
• 2 tbsp of desiccated coconut
• w tbsp of pecans



Microwave Macaroni and Cheese
• 1/3 cup of pasta
• 3/4 cup of cold water
• 4 tbsp of milk
• 1/4 tsp of cornstarch or cornflour
• 4 tbsp of grated cheddar cheese
• Salt
• Pepper

Microwave Peanut Butter and Banana Mug Cake
• Half of a banana
• 1 tbsp of peanut butter
• 1 egg white
• 1/4 tsp of vanilla extract
• 4.5 tbsp of oat flour
• 1/4 tsp of cinnamon
• 1/4 tsp of baking powder
• Salt

Microwave Mug Pizza
• 4 tbsp of all-purpose flour
• 1/8 tsp of baking powder
• 1/16 tsp of baking soda
• 3 tbsp of milk
• 1 tsp of olive oil
• 1 tbsp of marinara sauce
• 1 tbsp of shredded mozzarella cheese
• 5 mini pepperoni
• Half a tsp of dried Italian herbs (basil or oregano)

1 Minute Microwave Mug Brownie
• 3 tbsp of all-purpose flour
• 3 tbsp of brown sugar
• 3 tbsp of cocoa powder
• 3 tbsp of oil (flavorless like canola, coconut or sunflower)
• 3 tbsp of water
• Salt
• Half a tsp of vanilla extract
• 2 tbsp of chocolate chips

Instructions:

Microwave Granola In A Mug

This recipe takes about 8 minutes to make. Serves 1.

Mix all of the ingredients together in a big microwaveable mug or bowl.
Pop in the microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds, then stir the granola.
Continue this process until the granola becomes brown and crispy.
Let it cool for 2 to 3 minutes.
Serve with yogurt and fruits.

Microwave Macaroni and Cheese

This recipe takes about 10 minutes to make. Serves 1.

In a large microwaveable mug or small bowl, add water and pasta. Microwave for 3.5 to 4 minutes until pasta is soft.
Remove the water.
Add cheddar cheese, milk, cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Microwave for 1 minute.

Microwave Peanut Butter and Banana Mug Cake

This recipe takes about 6 to 8 minutes to make. Serves 1.

Mash the banana with a fork.
Mix the peanut butter, egg whites, and vanilla extract with the banana.
Add the flour, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt. Mix well with a spoon.
Microwave for 45 seconds to 1 minute until the middle of the mixture is firm
Garnish with sliced bananas.

Microwave Mug Pizza

This recipe takes about 6 minutes to make. Serves 1.

In a microwaveable mug or bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Add milk and oil. Mix well.
Scoop some marinara sauce and spread on top of the batter.
Sprinkle cheese, pepperoni, and Italian herbs on top.
Microwave for 1 minute and 10 to 20 seconds until the top is bubbling.

1 Minute Microwave Mug Brownie

This recipe takes about 6 minutes to make. Serves 1.

Mix all of the ingredients together in a microwaveable mug or bowl.
Add the chocolate chips last.
Microwave for 45 to 60 seconds.
Let it cool for 5 minutes.
Serve with ice cream.

Ideas and Tips:

• For the granola, you can use also use honey or agave instead of maple syrup.

• In the macaroni and cheese recipe, choose pasta that is small so that it cooks faster. Using bigger pasta will take longer and uses more water to cook.

• Oat flour is just rolled oats that have been ground in a blender or food processor. You can use whole wheat flour or all-purpose flour.
