Chicken Lollipop Recipe

Chicken lollipop is an Indian dish that serves as a snack or appetizer. This snack is prepared by using chicken wings to make chicken lollipops. You have to carefully push the meat up to reveal the bone that will serve as the lollipop stick. Each chicken lollipop is coated with a mix of spices and seasonings.

Ingredients:

• 10-12 chicken wings
• 1 tsp paprika powder
• 1 tsp crushed red chili
• 1/2 tsp white pepper powder
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• salt to taste
• 1 tbsp vinegar
• 1 tsp peri-peri sauce (optional)
• 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
• 2 tbsp soy sauce
• 1 egg
• 2 tbsp cornflour
• 3-4 tbsp all-purpose flour
• oil (for frying)

Instructions:

Place chicken wings on a chopping board.
Peel off the meat of each chicken wing from the inner sides and push toward the end of the bone, which makes the bone visible to you.
The bone will serve as the lollipop stick.
The lower part of the chicken wing has two bones, so you need to remove the extra bone.
Be careful in doing this first part of the preparation.
Once done, put all chicken lollipops in a large bowl.
Add all seasonings – paprika powder, crushed red chili, white pepper powder, garlic powder, salt, vinegar, peri-peri sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce.
Mix until well combined.
Let it marinate for an hour.
Add egg, cornflour, and all-purpose flour.
Mix until well combined.

Set a frying pan over medium heat.
Add some oil for deep-frying and warm it up.
Add the seasoned chicken lollipops on the pan.
Deep-fry until golden brown.
Remove from the pan and transfer to a plate.
Serve with dips.
Enjoy!
