Creamy & Cheesy White Sauce Pasta Recipe (Kanak’s Kitchen)

White sauce pasta is an appetizing pasta dish that consists of pasta, milk, cheese, and herbs. You can add a mixture of vegetables to put more taste on the entire dish. This recipe takes about 40 minutes and serves 2-3. A perfect dish for your girl best friends over an afternoon snack.

Ingredients:

• 2 cups Penne pasta (200 grams)
• 1 small carrot (diced)
• 1/2 capsicum (chopped)
• 1/2 onion (chopped)
• Handful of corns
• 2 teaspoon butter or olive
• Salt and black pepper powder to taste

For White Sauce:
• 4 tbsp butter
• 4 tbsp maida
• 2 cups milk
• 4-5 tbsp grated cheese
• 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
• 1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes
• 1/2 teaspoon mixed herb seasoning
• Salt to taste

Instructions:

For the Pasta:
Set a large pot over medium heat.
Put water and let it heat.
Add salt and 1/2 teaspoon of oil.
Stir and let it boil.
Once it boils, add the pasta.
Stir constantly.
Let it boil for 7 minutes.
Drain and rinse.
Set aside.

For the Vegetables:
Set a frying pan over medium heat.
Put olive oil and let it heat.
Saute garlic and onion.
Let it cook for 2 minutes or until onion turns translucent.
Add carrots, capsicum, and corns.
Stir and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Season with salt and black pepper.
Mix until well combined.
Set aside.

For the White Sauce:
Set a pot over medium heat.
Melt butter.
Add maida and mix for 4-5 minutes until it combines.
Gradually add milk while stirring for 4-5 minutes or until the lumps disappear.
Season with salt, black pepper, red chili flakes, and mixed herbs.
Mix for 4 minutes over low flame until texture is thick.
Add the vegetable mixture and pasta.
Mix until all ingredients for 2-3 minutes or until everything is well coated.
Add grated cheese.
Let it cook until cheese is melted.
Transfer to a plate.
Garnish with red chili flakes, mixed herbs, and grated cheese.
Serve and enjoy!
