Creamy Garlic Mushroom Sauce Recipe

This delicious and creamy garlic mushroom sauce is a perfect combination to your favorite fried chicken, grilled pork or roasted veggies! It’s quick and easy to prepare and only takes less than 20 minutes. The recipe is a tasty combination of thinly sliced mushrooms, cream and some herbs and spices.

Ingredients:

• 1 red onion (diced)
• 4 cloves garlic (sliced thinly)
• 300 grams Swiss brown mushrooms (sliced thinly)
• 2 tbsp curly parsley (finely chopped)
• 1 tsp thyme (finely chopped)
• 2 tbsp unsalted butter
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• salt to taste
• black pepper to taste
• 2 tbsp white wine
• 400 ml full-fat cream

Instructions:

Set a frying pan over high heat.
Add 2 tbsp of butter and 1 tbsp of olive oil.
Let the butter melt.
Once it melts, add finely sliced garlic cloves and diced red onion.
Stir and saute for 30 seconds.
Add sliced mushrooms.
Stir and cook for 5-7 minutes until soft.
Season with salt to taste and stir.
Add 2 tbsp of white wine.
Let it cook for a minute or until white wine reduces.
Add chopped parsley.
Stir to combine.
Add full-fat cream into the pan.
Stir to combine.
Bring to a boil.
Once it boils, reduce to medium heat.
Let it simmer for 15 minutes or until sauce thickens.
Switch off the heat.
Season with salt and black pepper to taste while it is still hot.
Stir to combine.
Transfer to a bowl.
Enjoy with your favorite main dish.
