Homemade Almond Milk In 3 Easy Steps

Almond milk has a lot of health benefits. It is a good source of calcium, vitamins D and E, and naturally lactose-free. Here’s a simple recipe you can follow to make a homemade almond milk you and your family will enjoy and benefit from!

Ingredients:

• 1 cup whole raw almonds
• 3.5 cups filtered water (or more for soaking almonds)

Optional:
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
• 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions:

In a large bowl, put the whole raw almonds.
Cover with water and soak for at least 8 hours, but recommended is overnight.
Drain almonds.
Prepare the blender and add the almonds in it.
Pour 3.5 cups of filtered water.
Blend for 1-2 minutes or until the almonds are all blended.
Strain to remove chunks of almond out.
Transfer to a bottle or any container you like.

Tips and ideas:

If you want some flavor in it, then you can add cinnamon and vanilla.
Whisk for a minute or two to blend well.

If you don’t want to wait longer, then you can boil the almonds and soak for 1 hour.
