Mackerel Recipe – How To Grill Salted Mackerel

Mackerel is a popular fish especially in Nigeria. It’s perfect for frying, grilling, and steaming. Aside from its very delicious taste when prepared, it is packed with benefits that are good for the health. Mackerel fish has minerals and vitamins that support body function. It is also packed with omega-3 fatty acids, which is good for the heart.

Ingredients:

• 2 Mackerel fillets
• Salt
• 1 lemon wedge
• Daikon or Mooli radish (grated)

Instructions:

Make criss-cross cuts on the skin side of the fish.
Cut in half.
Skewer the fish fillets.
Season with salt to taste.
Put the fish into the griller.
Let it cook for 5 minutes on each side or until the meat is tender and juicy enough.
Transfer to a plate and remove the skewers.

Tips and ideas:

You can add grated daikon or mooli radish and lemon wedge for a more appetizing appearance.
