Easy Strawberry Horchata Recipe | Fresh Strawberry Milk Drink | Aguas Frescas Recipe

Strawberry horchata is a grain-based drink flavored with strawberry puree and sweetened with condensed milk. For better results, it is recommended to soak the rice grains overnight. Enjoy this refreshing strawberry milk drink with ice cubes.

Ingredients:

• 1 cup long grain rice
• 2.5 cups water
• 1 cinnamon stick

• 2 cups water
• 1 x 12 oz can of evaporated milk
• 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
• 2 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 lb fresh strawberries
• ice cubes
• some strawberry slices (optional)

Instructions:

Prepare a container.
Add a cup of long-grain rice.
Pour 2.5 cups of water.
Break a cinnamon stick and add it into the container.
Cover the container.
Let it soak for at least 6 hours, recommended overnight.
Once done, transfer to a blender.
Blend for a minute on high speed.
Once done, sift it through a juice container using a fine-mesh strainer.
Add evaporated milk, then stir.
Add sweetened condensed milk, then stir.
Set aside the rice mixture.

Add fresh strawberries into the blender.
Pour two cups of water.
Add vanilla extract.
Blend until it becomes a puree.
Sift through a bowl using a fine-mesh strainer.
Once sifted through, transfer strawberry puree into the rice mixture.
Mix well.
Add ice cubes to keep it cool.
Add strawberry slices.
Serve and enjoy!
