How To Make Shrimp Fried Rice

Fried rice is a perfect way to cook leftover rice. It became a family traditional dish for breakfast or lunch. Add a twist to it by combining it with fried shrimps, snow peas, and carrots.

Ingredients:

• 1 lb shrimps (peeled and deveined)
• 3 eggs
• 2.5 tbsp soy sauce
• 4 cups jasmine rice (cooked or day old)
• 1 tbsp garlic (chopped)
• 1/2 tbsp olive oil (for shrimp saute)
• 1/2 tbsp olive oil (for stir-fry)
• 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
• 1 cup carrots (chopped and steam cooked)
• 1 cup frozen snow peas
• 1/4 teaspoon white pepper powder

Instructions:

This recipe takes 30 minutes to prepare and cook. Serves 4-6.

Set a medium saucepan over high heat.
Pour olive oil.
Saute garlic.
Add shrimp and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until shrimp is cooked.
Sprinkle kosher salt and white pepper powder to taste.
Mix well.
Remove from heat.

Set a large pan over high heat.
Pour olive oil.
Crack eggs into the wok.
Stir until its scrambled.
Add the sauteed shrimp.
Stir-fry for 30 seconds to 1 minute to remove moisture.
Add snow peas and steamed carrots.
Stir-fry again for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
Add rice.
Continue to stir-fry for 4-5 minutes.
Add soy sauce and kosher salt.
Mix well for 2 minutes.
Remove from heat and transfer to a plate.
Serve and enjoy!
