My Favorite Healthy Juice & Smoothie Recipes

Smoothies are popular nowadays as a healthier alternative to sodas. You can mix and match the ingredients to satisfy any craving you have. The peanut butter smoothie is just like a dessert in a glass. Creamy and nutty, this is a great smoothie after that intense workout. The green smoothie may look intimidating, but it tastes like a berry tart in a glass. The spicy orange juice is a refreshing juice that will perk up your day. It definitely gives a spicy kick to your ordinary orange juice. The traditional green juice is packed with vitamins and just gives you that cleansing feeling after you drink it. This green juice is perfect for breakfast so that you start your day feeling cleansed and refreshed.

These recipes take about 5 to 7 minutes to make each. Each one serves 1 to 2 glasses.

Ingredients:

Peanut Butter Protein Smoothie:

• Half of a frozen banana
• 3 to 4 pitted dates
• 1 cup of crushed ice
• 1/2 cup of peanut butter
• 1/2 cup of coconut milk

Green Smoothie:

• 1 handful of frozen blueberries
• 1 handful of frozen raspberries
• Half of a frozen banana
• 3 to 4 pitted dates
• 1.5 cup of fresh kale
• Bok choy
• 1/2 cup of coconut milk

Spicy Orange Juice:

• 2 peeled oranges
• 1 lime
• Half of a jalapeño
• Ginger
• Pineapple

Traditional Green Juice:

• 1 stalk of celery
• 1 cucumber
• 2 cups of spinach
• 1 apple
• Half of a lemon

Instructions:

Blend all of the ingredients in a blender and serve.

Ideas And Tips:

• These recipes use coconut milk. You can substitute with other kinds of milk such as almond or soy. Whatever milk you have on hand is fine.

• In the traditional green juice recipe, apple is optional. If you are not accustomed to the taste of green juice, the apple adds sweetness to the mix. You can substitute with other sweeteners such as honey or maple syrup.
