Simple Italian Omelette

An omelette is a dish made out of beaten eggs that are usually fried with butter or oil. Compared with scrambled eggs, the eggs are not stirred in the pan and thus creates a circular thin piece of egg. Most omelettes have fillings such as cheese, vegetables, ham, bacon, or tuna. It is a popular breakfast staple. Although the origins of the omelette are unknown, there is a legend that Napoleon Bonaparte feasted on omelette as his army traveled to southern France.

This recipe only has 6 ingredients and gives you a simple but delicious omelette in under 10 minutes. Light and creamy, this is a perfect breakfast meal.

Ingredients:

• 3 eggs
• Goat cheese
• Chives
• Oil
• Salt
• Pepper

Instructions:

This recipe takes about 8 to 10 minutes to make. Serves 1.

Lightly beat 3 eggs.
Place pan over medium heat and pour some oil enough to cover the pan.
Once the oil is hot, add the beaten eggs.
Once the edges start to cook, push up with a spoon to let the raw egg slide down to the bottom of the pan.
Repeat this step for all the edges of the egg until there is barely any raw egg on top.
Crumble some goat cheese and sprinkle with chopped chives on top of the egg.
Season with salt and pepper.
Carefully fold the left and right edges of the egg to fold it in like an envelope.
Remove from the heat and serve.
