Spicy Hash Browns For Breakfast

Spice up your breakfast with these tasty spicy hash browns. A mixture of mashed potatoes, shredded cheese, and spices will start up your day with a smile. It takes about 25 minutes to prepare and cook this meal for your breakfast. You could also prepare the night before and re-heat.

Ingredients:

• 3 medium potatoes (peeled)
• 4 tbsp all-purpose flour
• 4 tbsp mozzarella cheese (shredded)
• 1 large egg
• 1 small onion (finely chopped)
• 1 tsp garlic (grated)
• 1 tbsp fresh coriander (chopped)
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1/2 tsp red chili powder
• 1/4 tsp black pepper
• 4 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions:

This recipe takes 25 minutes to prepare and cook. It makes 5 hash browns.

Peel off skin of 3 medium potatoes.
Shred the potatoes and rinse it with ice-cold water.
Put the shredded potatoes on a clean dishcloth to squeeze excess liquid.
Transfer to a large mixing bowl.
Add all-purpose flour, shredded mozzarella cheese, a large egg, finely chopped onion, grated garlic, and chopped fresh coriander.
Season with salt, red chili powder, and black pepper.
Mix until well combined.

Set a frying pan over medium heat.
Add 4 tbsp vegetable oil and warm it up.
Scoop from the mixture and shape it like a hash brown.
Fry for 4 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
Remove from the heat and transfer to a plate.
Serve with dip of your choice.
