Pour the chilled green tea mixture into the tub of the ice cream maker and process in the ice cream maker for about 15 to 20 minutes.
At this point, the consistency of the mixture is soft-serve ice cream.
If you want the traditional hard ice cream, transfer the mixture to a container and freeze at least 3 hours before serving.
Ideas And Tips:
If you do not have an ice cream maker, you can still make hard ice cream in two ways. First is through the freeze and stir method. Pour the cooled green tea mixture in a shallow baking pan and freeze it for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, remove the pan from the freezer and stir the mixture using a whisk. You need to repeat this process 4 to 6 times to get hard ice cream. Second is through the plastic bag method. Put the cooled green tea mixture in a plastic bag and make sure it is completely sealed. Get a bigger plastic bag and fill it with ice and 4 tablespoons of ice cream salt or regular salt. Put the bag of the green tea mixture into the bag of ice. Seal and shake vigorously until the green tea mixture becomes thick. Transfer to a sealed container and freeze until it becomes hard ice cream.
