Creamy Garlic Mushroom Sauce Recipe

This delicious and creamy garlic mushroom sauce is a perfect combination to your favorite fried chicken, grilled pork or roasted veggies! It’s quick and easy to prepare and only takes less than 20 minutes. The recipe is a tasty combination of thinly sliced mushrooms, cream and some herbs and spices.

Ingredients:

• 1 red onion (diced)
• 4 cloves garlic (sliced thinly)
• 300 grams Swiss brown mushrooms (sliced thinly)
• 2 tbsp curly parsley (finely chopped)
• 1 tsp thyme (finely chopped)
• 2 tbsp unsalted butter
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• salt to taste
• black pepper to taste
• 2 tbsp white wine
• 400 ml full-fat cream

Instructions:

Set a frying pan over high heat.
Add 2 tbsp of butter and 1 tbsp of olive oil.
Let the butter melt.
Once it melts, add finely sliced garlic cloves and diced red onion.
Stir and saute for 30 seconds.
Add sliced mushrooms.
Stir and cook for 5-7 minutes until soft.
Season with salt to taste and stir.
Add 2 tbsp of white wine.
Let it cook for a minute or until white wine reduces.
Add chopped parsley.
Stir to combine.
Add full-fat cream into the pan.
Stir to combine.
Bring to a boil.
Once it boils, reduce to medium heat.
Let it simmer for 15 minutes or until sauce thickens.
Switch off the heat.
Season with salt and black pepper to taste while it is still hot.
Stir to combine.
Transfer to a bowl.
Enjoy with your favorite main dish.

Quick and Easy Salsa Recipe – Homemade Salsa From Scratch

Prepare this quick and easy salsa as a sauce for your favorite nachos and tortillas. It takes about 15 minutes to prepare. This homemade salsa can be stored in the fridge for up to a week.

Ingredients:

• 2 x 15 oz cans fire-roasted tomatoes
• 1/3 cup white onion (chopped)
• 2 cloves garlic
• 1-2 jalapeno (sliced and seeds removed)
• 1 cup fresh cilantro (chopped)
• juice of 1-2 medium limes
• 1/2 tsp fine sea salt

Instructions:

This recipe takes about 15 minutes to prepare.

Drain liquid of 2 x 15 oz of fire-roasted tomatoes.
Set aside.

Prepare a food processor.
Add two cloves of garlic.
Pulse until garlic is minced.
Add fire-roasted tomatoes, chopped white onions, and sliced jalapeno.
Season with fine sea salt and juice of a lime.
Add fresh cilantro.
Pulse until well combined.
You can season with fine sea salt and juice of a lime again to taste.
Pulse to mix well.
Transfer salsa to a bowl.
Serve with your favorite tortillas or nachos.

Amazing Peanut Sauce – Kuah Kacang (Best Satay Sauce)

Kuah Kacang or peanut sauce is a condiment from Indonesia. Its main ingredient is roasted peanuts mixed with chili paste. Peanut sauce is best served with vegetables, chicken, and meat. It also can be served as a salad dressing over fresh vegetables.

Ingredients:

• 300 grams peanuts
• 400 ml water
• 60 grams sugar
• 8 dried chili peppers (chopped)
• 3 garlic cloves (chopped)
• 4 lemongrass stalks (chopped)
• 2 shallots (chopped)
• 3 tbsp oil
• 1 teaspoon tamarind paste
• 3 cm galangal (chopped)
• 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions:

This recipe takes about 1 hour.

Set a pan over low heat.
Add the peanuts (without oil).
Roast it for a few minutes until its fragrant.
Transfer to a bowl.
Soak with water and remove the skin.
Put the peeled peanuts in a blender.
Blend for a few minutes until the texture is grainy.
Set aside.

Blend all chopped ingredients for a few minutes until it becomes a paste.
Set a pan over medium heat.
Heat oil and saute shallots.
Add chili paste.
Let it saute for a few minutes until oil separates from the paste.
Add the blended peanuts.
Pour water and a pinch of salt, then stir.
Increase heat and let it boil.
Add sugar to add some sweet flavor and stir.
Let it simmer for 20 minutes or until the sauce is thick.
Transfer to a sauce bowl.
