Tasty Spanish Potato Omelette Recipe (Sandwich Style)

Here is an easy to cook homemade dinner you can enjoy with your family! Tasty Spanish potato omelet sandwich style is stuffed with cheese and ham slices sandwiched by a potato and egg mixture. This recipe takes about 25-30 minutes. Serves 3.

Ingredients:

• 5 eggs
• 3 medium potatoes (chopped into small pieces)
• 8 cheese sandwich slices
• 4 ham slices
• 1 large onion (chopped into large pieces)
• Salt to taste
• Oil for frying

Instructions:

Set a pan over medium heat.
Add a little oil and let it heat.
Add chopped potatoes and onions.
Season with salt to taste.
Cook and stir continuously for 10 minutes or until potatoes are soft.
Crush the potatoes using a spoon.
Cook for an additional 5 minutes or until the texture is like that of mashed potatoes.
Switch off the heat.
Set aside.

In a mixing bowl, crack open 5 eggs.
Season with salt to taste.
Beat them.
Add the potato mixture.
Mix until well combined.

Set a deep pan over low heat.
Add a little oil and let it heat.
Put about 1/3 of the potato and egg mixture.
Spread evenly on the pan.
Place cheese slices on top.
Put ham slices next.
Put the remaining cheese slices.
Add the remaining potato and egg mixture to top it off.
Spread the mixture on top evenly.
Let it cook for about 5 minutes.
After 5 minutes, put a plate or dish above the pan.
Turn the omelet.
Put it back into the pan to cook the other side.
Smooth the edges to shape it into round.
Cook for 5 minutes.
Transfer to a plate.
Cut into slices and serve!
