Choco lava cake is a famous sweet dessert. This ultra-simple version of the French dessert has a chocolate cake “sponge” made from a base of bourbon biscuits on the outside but with a liquid chocolate filling.
Ingredients:
• 150 grams Bourbon biscuits
• 100 grams dark chocolate (chopped)
• 1/2 cup milk (at room temperature)
• 3 pieces of dark chocolate (as a filling)
• some oil (for greasing)
• 1/2 cup regular cooking salt
Instructions:
Preheat the pan.
Set a large deep pan over medium heat.
Add 1/2 cup of regular cooking salt.
Place a round steel rack on top.
Place a pizza plate or any plate on top of the steel rack.
Cover with pan.
Meanwhile, prepare the mold.
Use aluminum foil and shape it following the base of a cup.
It should make three molds.
Lightly grease each mold with some oil.
Set aside.
Separate the cream from the biscuits.
Set aside the cream.
Place the biscuits into a hand blender.
Blend until finely crushed.
Set aside.
Place 100 grams of chopped dark chocolate in a mixing bowl, then place on a double boiler.
Stir until chocolate melts.
Once it melts, remove the bowl from the double boiler.
Pour the finely crushed biscuits into the bowl.
Mix until well combined.
Gradually add 1/2 cup of milk, then mix until well combined.
Scoop from the mixture and fill 3/4 of each mold.
Add a piece of dark chocolate in each mold.
Cover the chocolate piece with the remaining mixture.
Once the deep pan is heated, put the molds on the plate.
Cover the pan and let it cook for 5-6 minutes.
After 5-6 minutes, remove the molds from the pan.
Peel away the aluminum foil mold.
Serve and enjoy!
