5 Minute Pizza Dough From Scratch

But why order from your favorite pizza chain if you can make your own pizza dough in just 5 minutes? Add your favorite pizza toppings, bake it in the oven, and you’ll have a delicious and healthy homemade pizza in a flash. With this recipe, making a pizza from start to finish takes lesser time than that it would for the pizza delivery guy to appear on your doorstep.

Ingredients:

This recipe takes about 30 minutes to make. Serves 1 pizza.

Dough:
• 1 ¾ cups of self-rising flour
• 1 cup of plain yogurt

Toppings:
• 4 tbsp pizza sauce
• ¼ cup of minced garlic
• 6 slices of whole milk mozzarella cheese
• ½ cup of sliced baby portabella mushrooms
• ¼ cup of shredded parmesan cheese
• ½ tbsp Cajun seasoning
• ¼ cup of shredded fresh basil leaves

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 500°F.
To make the dough, put flour and yogurt in the bowl of a stand mixer.
Mix for 5 minutes on high speed.
Transfer the dough on a floured working surface and knead the dough for a few minutes.
Form the dough into a 12-inch round pizza crust.
Transfer the dough to a floured pizza peel.
Evenly spread pizza sauce on top of the dough.
Arrange the mozzarella cheese slices on top of the sauce.
Spread the sliced mushrooms on top, then the parmesan cheese.
Sprinkle Cajun seasoning on the pizza crust.
Bake in the oven on a preheated pizza stone at 500°F for 14 minutes.
Take the pizza out from the oven and let it cool for 1 to 2 minutes.
Cut the pizza into 6 or 8 slices.
Top with basil leaves and serve.

Ideas And Tips:

If you can’t find self-rising flour, you can use a mixture of 1 cup of regular flour and 1 tbsp baking soda

If you want a thinner pizza crust, form the dough into a 14-inch crust.

You can also choose from other toppings like onions, bell peppers, zucchini, tomatoes, sweet corn kernels, peas, pineapples, olives, pesto, artichoke hearts, eggplant, baby corn, guacamole, broccoli or asparagus.
