No-Bake Chocolate Biscuit Cake Recipe

There are hundreds of cakes with different flavors and texture. Most cakes are baked in the oven. This recipe shows a decadent chocolate cake filled with nuts and heavenly chocolate without baking. No-bake and egg-free, this cake is great to serve during tea time.

Ingredients:

• 28 oz of digestive biscuits
• 1 cup of nuts

Syrup:

• 1 cup of sugar
• Half a cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
• 1 cup of water
• 2/3 cup of butter
• 1 tsp of vanilla extract

Ganache:

• Half a cup of whipping cream
• 4 oz of chopped bittersweet chocolate

Instructions:

This recipe takes about 25 minutes to prepare. The cake batter needs to set in the fridge for an hour. The ganache needs to set for 3 to 4 hours to overnight. Serves 10.

Break the biscuits into small pieces.
In a non-stick pan, toast nuts over medium high heat. Place the toasted nuts over the biscuits.
Add sugar and cocoa powder in a saucepan. Stir and gradually add water.
Place the saucepan over medium heat and add butter.
Boil for 7 to 8 minutes.
Add vanilla extract and remove from the heat. Set aside to cool for 10 to 15 minutes.
Once cooled, pour the sauce over the biscuits and mix well until all the biscuits are coated.
Transfer the mixture into a non-stick cake pan or springform pan. Add parchment paper at the bottom of the pan.
Press the mixture to make it even.
Place in the fridge for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
In a saucepan, add cream and heat until almost boiling.
Add hot cream over bittersweet chocolate and let it rest for 1 minute before stirring.
Pour the ganache over the cake and set for 3 to 4 hours.
Garnish with toasted nuts.
