Shrimp and crab cast iron pizza is a perfect comfort food for the weekend. This recipe is quick and easy to make with ingredients easily found in your kitchen. You can add more seafood you like – crab meat, claw meat, or lobster meat. Make it cheesier by filling it with your favorite cheeses. This recipe will use mozzarella, parmesan and Italian cheese blend.
Ingredients:
Crust
• 1 pre-made pizza dough crust
• 3 tbsp melted butter
• 1 tbsp garlic powder
• 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
• 1 tbsp adobo seasoning (optional)
Sauce
• 1.5 cups heavy cream
• 2 tbsp lemon juice
• 1 tbsp chicken bouillon powder
• 1 tsp cajun seasoning
• 1 tsp Italian seasoning
• 3 tbsp Parmesan cheese (grated)
Other Ingredients
• 1.5 cups medium shrimps (peeled and deveined)
• cajun seasoning to taste
• 2 cups mozzarella cheese (grated)
• 1-2 cups Italian cheese blend
• some chopped green onions (optional)
• some crab meat or claw meat (optional)
• old bay seasoning to taste
Instructions:
Crust
Prepare a 12-inch cast-iron skillet.
Spread the pizza dough crust on the skillet.
Brush the crust with melted butter.
Sprinkle garlic powder, Italian seasoning and adobo seasoning.
Place it inside the oven.
Let it bake for 5-6 minutes at 475 – 500 F.
Once done, keep it inside the oven until the sauce is ready.
Sauce
Set a large pan over medium-high heat.
Add heavy cream and let it boil for 2 minutes.
Stir and continue to cook until thick.
Reduce to medium-low heat.
Add lemon juice.
Season with chicken bouillon powder, cajun seasoning and Italian seasoning.
Stir to mix well.
Add grated parmesan cheese.
Stir until cheese melts.
Remove from the heat.
Set aside.
Quickly season shrimps with cajun seasoning.
Set aside.
Get the pre-baked pizza crust from the oven.
Spread sauce over the crust.
Sprinkle some chopped green onions.
Add some crab meat or claw meat or both.
Sprinkle some grated mozzarella cheese.
Add seasoned shrimps on top, followed by an Italian cheese blend.
Season with old bay seasoning to taste.
Place it inside the preheated oven of 475-500 F.
Bake it for 10-15 minutes until the crust turns golden brown.
Once done, remove from the oven.
Slice for servings.
