Easy Homemade Fruit Roll-Ups | Healthy Snacks

Although there are a lot of healthy snacks available in stores, it is still healthier to make homemade snacks. By doing so, you can control the sweetness and saltiness of your snacks. This recipe only has one ingredient: ripe mango. The mango is pureed and then baked in the oven. The mango dries up and becomes sticky. It is then cut into strips and rolled. These roll-ups are 100% fruit with no artificial sweeteners.

This recipe takes about 10 minutes to prepare and 3 to 4 hours baking time. Serves 8 roll-ups.

Ingredients:

• 4 cups of diced ripe mango

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 175F.
Slice the mango on both sides of the seed.
Scoop out the flesh.
Place the mango flesh into a blender or food processor.
Puree the mango until smooth.
Place parchment paper on a baking tray.
Pour the mango puree into the tray.
Smooth out the puree with a spatula until the puree is about 1/8 inch thick.
Bake the puree in the oven for 3 to 4 hours until it has fully dried.
Once the baked fruit has cooled, place a piece of wax paper on top of the roll-ups.
Peel off the wax paper and roll-ups together.
Cut the roll-ups into long strips.
Roll up the strips.

Ideas And Tips:

• Check on the roll-ups after 3 hours in the oven. If the bottom side of the puree is still wet, you can flip the roll-up and continue to bake until it has completely dried up.

• You can keep the roll-ups in the fridge up to a week. Store the roll-ups in an air-tight container.
