How To Make Collard Greens | Collard Greens Recipe

Collard greens are quick and easy to cook for lunch or dinner. This collard greens recipe is a healthy side dish served with cooked black beans and rice or pasta. You can add more spices if you want it more savory. This recipe is also good for those who are vegetarian. This recipe takes 15 minutes and serves 2.

Ingredients:

• 3 bags collard greens (chopped)
• 4 cups chicken broth
• 1 cup onion (diced)
• 1/2 tbsp garlic (minced)
• 6 bacon slices
• 1 tbsp vinegar
• 1/2 tsp red chili flakes
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 tsp black pepper

Instructions:

Set a saucepot over medium heat.
Fry bacon slices for a few minutes or until bacons are crisp and oil is separated.
Add diced onion and minced garlic.
Saute for 3-4 minutes or until onions are soft.
Add chicken broth and bring to a boil.
Add collard greens.
Cover the lid and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
Add vinegar, red chili flakes, salt, and black pepper.
Stir well and cover the lid again.
Let it cook until collard greens are tender.
Remove from heat and transfer to a plate.
Serve and enjoy!
