Quick And Easy Sweet Potato Recipe

Sweet potato is a starchy, sweet-tasting root vegetable. It is very versatile and can be cooked in so many ways. You can fry, roast, purée, steam, bake or grill it. You can even add it to soups, stews, and casseroles. Sweet potato is very nutritious and contains vitamins A, B6, C, E, and K, iron, phosphorous, calcium, magnesium, potassium, niacin, manganese, protein, carbohydrates, beta-carotene, and dietary fiber. It is reported that it can stabilize blood sugar levels, boost brain function, enhance immunity, promote vision health and aid in weight loss.

With this recipe, you can enjoy sweet and savory honey-glazed sweet potatoes. The sweet potatoes are baked until the outside is crispy while the inside is moist and tender. This is perfect for a side dish or for a snack.


• 2 large sweet potatoes
• ¼ cup of honey
• ¼ cup of extra virgin olive oil
• ¼ tsp ground black pepper
• ¼ tsp salt
• ¼ tsp cinnamon
• cooking spray


This recipe takes about 40 minutes to make. Serves 3 to 4.

Preheat oven to 375°F.
Wash the sweet potatoes thoroughly.
Cut sweet potatoes into cubes and place them in a large mixing bowl.
Pour honey into a microwave-safe bowl.
Melt honey in the microwave for 20 seconds.
Pour melted honey into the bowl of sweet potatoes
Add olive oil, salt, pepper, and cinnamon.
Mix well to coat all the sweet potato pieces with the seasoning.
Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil, then grease with cooking spray.
Spread the sweet potatoes on the baking sheet.
Cook in the oven at 375°F for 30 minutes.

Ideas And Tips:

• If you don’t have a microwave, grease your measuring cup with some cooking spray before measuring the honey. This will keep the honey from sticking to the measuring cup and will make it easier to pour directly on your sweet potatoes.
