4 Salad-In-A-Jar Recipes

Make these healthy salad-in-a-jar recipes for lunch or dinner. These salads can also be grab-and-go meals for busy young professionals. The fresher the better but you can store these recipes in the fridge for up to three days. Add your homemade dressing or any vinaigrette you prefer. It takes less than 10 minutes to prepare each recipe.




1. Protein-Packed Salad

Ingredients:

• 2-3 tbsp homemade dressing or any vinaigrette
• 1/2 cup chickpeas (drained and rinsed)
• 1 red potato (diced and steamed)
• 1 large egg (boiled and diced)
• 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes (halved)
• 1/4 lb green beans (halved and steamed)

Instructions:

Prepare a large container or mason jar.
Add 2-3 tbsp homemade dressing or your favorite vinaigrette.
Add the rest of the ingredients in the jar.
Close the lid.
Shake the jar to mix all the ingredients before eating the salad.
Enjoy!

2. Asian-Inspired Salad

Ingredients:




• 2-3 tbsp homemade dressing or any vinaigrette
• 1/2 cup red cabbage (finely sliced)
• 1/2 cup broccoli florets (steamed)
• 1/2 cup carrots (peeled and julienned)
• 1/2 cup ripe mangoes (peeled and julienned)
• 1/2 cup frozen edamame
• 1-2 tbsp green onions (chopped)

Instructions:

Prepare a large container or mason jar.
Add 2-3 tbsp homemade dressing or your favorite vinaigrette.
Add the rest of the ingredients in the jar.
Close the lid.
Shake the jar to mix all the ingredients before eating the salad.
Enjoy!

3. Fresh & Fruity Salad

Ingredients:

• 2-3 tbsp homemade dressing or any balsamic vinegar
• a handful of candied pecans
• 1/2 cup sliced strawberries
• 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
• 1 red onion (chopped)
• some crumbled goat cheese
• some lettuce

Instructions:

Prepare a large container or mason jar.
Add 2-3 tbsp homemade dressing or your favorite balsamic vinegar.
Add the rest of the ingredients in the jar.
Close the lid.
Shake the jar to mix all the ingredients before eating the salad.
Enjoy!

4. Greek-Inspired Salad

Ingredients:

• 2-3 tbsp homemade dressing or any Greek dressing
• 1/4 cup Kalamata olives (sliced)
• 1 red onion (chopped)
• 1/4 cup crumbled Greek feta cheese
• 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes
• 1/2 cup cucumber (diced)
• 1/2 cup yellow bell pepper (diced)

Instructions:

Prepare a large container or mason jar.
Add 2-3 tbsp homemade dressing or any Greek dressing.
Add the rest of the ingredients in the jar.
Close the lid.
Shake the jar to mix all the ingredients before eating the salad.
Enjoy!
