Easy Crispy Aloo Tikki Recipe

Aloo Tikki is an Indian snack that consists of boiled potatoes mashed, flavored with different spices, and deep-fried. The word “Aloo” means potato and “Tikki” means cutlet. This snack is usually served with dips or sometimes chickpeas and yogurt. This recipe takes about 30 minutes.

Ingredients:

• 500 grams potatoes (boiled)
• Salt and pepper to taste
• 1 tsp chili powder
• 1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder
• 2 pieces green chili (chopped)
• 4 tbsp coriander leaves (chopped)
• 2 tbsp rice flour
• 1 tsp lemon juice
• Oil for frying

Instructions:

Put boiled potatoes in a plate or bowl.
Mash it well.
Add chili powder, roasted cumin, green chili, coriander leaves, and rice flour.
Season with salt and black pepper.
Mix until well combined.
Squeeze lemon juice.
Mix again.
Get a scoop of the mixture.
Form into patties.

Set a frying pan over medium-high heat.
Put oil and let it heat.
Add the patties into the pan.
Let it fry for a few minutes until its browned and crispy.
Remove and transfer to a plate.
Serve with ketchup or chili sauce.
