Apple Oatmeal Cake Recipe

This simple and easy apple oatmeal cake is an excellent choice for breakfast or an afternoon snack. This recipe is a combination of grated apples and rolled oats. A hint of cinnamon adds a classic flavor to this delicious cake.

Ingredients:

Oat mixture:

• 1 3/4 cups rolled oats
• 1 2/3 cups flour
• 3/4 cup sugar
• 1 tsp cinnamon

Apple mixture:

• 6 apples (peeled and grated)
• 2-3 tbsp lemon juice

• 22 grams cold butter + 115 grams cold butter
• 1-2 tbsp sugar

Instructions:

In a mixing bowl, add rolled oats, flour, sugar, and cinnamon.
Mix well and set aside.

In another mixing bowl, add grated apples and lemon juice.
Mix well and set aside.

Preheat oven to 180 C.

Prepare a 9-inch springform pan with parchment-lined at the bottom.
Grate 22 grams of cold butter in it.
Add 3-4 tbsp of the oat mixture.
Spread and distribute evenly.
Press the mixture lightly on the bottom.
Add 1/3 of the apple mixture and spread evenly.
Add 1/3 of the remaining oat mixture for the next layer.
Spread and distribute evenly.
Add 1/3 of the remaining apple mixture on top.
Spread and distribute evenly.
Repeat for another layer.
The last layer should be the remaining oat mixture.
Spread evenly.
Top it off with 115 grams of grated butter.
Sprinkle with 1-2 tbsp of sugar.
Place inside the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes until the top is golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let it cool down for 20 minutes.
Release the cake from the springform pan.
Slice for servings.
