Caribbean Fried Snapper (Fish)

Fried snapper is a traditional fish recipe that is popularly delicious especially in Jamaica. The snapper fish requires extra care when it comes to frying, because the fish meat easily falls apart.

Ingredients:

• 2 lbs red snapper
• 2 cloves garlic (crushed)
• 1 teaspoon Caribbean green seasoning
• Vegetable oil
• 1/2 cup flour
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon pepper sauce
• 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
• 1/4 teaspoon curry powder
• 1/4 onion (finely diced)

Instructions:

This recipe takes about 50 minutes to prepare and cook. Serves 2-3.

Prepare and clean the red snapper fishes.
Make one cut on each side of the fish.
Season with black ground pepper, curry powder, finely diced onions, crushed garlic, salt, pepper sauce, and Caribbean green seasoning.
Marinate for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, coat the fishes with flour.

Prepare the saucepan and set it over medium-high heat.
Pour vegetable oil.
Place the fishes on the saucepan.
Let it fry for 5-7 minutes on each side or until it gets golden brown.
Transfer to a plate and serve.
