Make the flavorful and easy beef fajitas recipe for your dinner. The marinade makes it tastier with the combination of spices absorbed into the beefsteak and chicken. Prepare with your favorite toppings and salsa.
Ingredients:
• 2 lbs flank steak (sliced)
• 1 green bell pepper (julienned)
• 1 red bell pepper (julienned)
• 1 medium onion (sliced)
• some oil (for pan-searing)
• tortilla
For the marinade:
• 1 cup fresh orange juice
• 1/3 cup fresh lime juice
• 1 tbsp Maggi seasoning sauce (you can use regular soy sauce)
• 1 tsp onion powder
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• 1 tsp smoked paprika
• 2 tsp chili powder
• 1/4 tsp ground cumin
• 1/2 tsp salt
• pepper to taste
For the chicken fajitas:
• 1 lb chicken breast (sliced)
• half of the marinade
Optional for the toppings:
• 3 chopped Roma tomatoes
• 1 jalapeno
• 1/2 cup chopped onion
• some chopped cilantro
• 1/2 chopped avocado
• lime juice to taste
• salt to taste
• sour cream (optional for garnishing)
Instructions:
Put the flank steak in a ziplock bag.
Add all ingredients for the marinade in a bowl.
Mix well.
Pour half of the marinade in the ziplock bag.
Seal it.
Massage the steak to coat with the marinade.
Place inside the fridge and marinate for at least 2 hours.
Do the same with the chicken breast.
Meanwhile, mix the ingredients for the toppings.
You can add more ingredients to your preference.
Place in the fridge while cooking for the beef and chicken.
Set a griddle over high heat.
Add some oil.
Sear the steak until well-done.
Once cooked, remove from the griddle and transfer to a plate.
In the same griddle, sear the chicken.
Once cooked, remove from the griddle and transfer to a plate.
Add bell peppers and onion in a pan over medium heat.
Saute until soft.
Remove from the heat.
Add seared chicken and flank steak into the pan and mix.
Place a mixture in the middle of the tortilla.
Put toppings and sour cream.
Fold the tortilla.
Serve and enjoy!
