How To Eat Chia Seeds – 3 Ways!

The recipes below are ready in minutes, and you can enjoy chia seeds in a healthy and delicious way. The smoothie recipe is perfect for breakfast or as a snack. The chia seeds in the smoothie help keep you full. The chia pudding satisfies your craving for something sweet. Chia egg is a great alternative for those who are allergic to eggs.

These recipes take about 5 to 6 minutes to make each. Serves 1 to 2.

1. Blueberry Chia Energizer Smoothie


• 1 cup of frozen blueberries
• 1 banana
• 1 scoop of protein powder
• 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk
• 1 tbsp of chia seeds


Add all of the ingredients together in a blender. Blend until smooth.

2. Vegan Chia Pudding


• 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk
• 1/4 cup of chia seeds
• 1 tbsp of maple syrup
• Half a tsp of vanilla extract


In a jar, add the chia seeds before pouring your milk.
Top off with maple syrup and vanilla extract.
Cover the jar and give it a shake.
Let it sit in the fridge for 6 hours to overnight.

3. Vegan Chia Egg


• 1 tbsp of chia seeds
• Few tbsp of room temperature filtered water


In a small bowl, add water to the chia seeds. Whisk them together until it becomes a paste.

Ideas And Tips:

• Almond milk was used in the recipes, but you can definitely use whatever milk you prefer or what you have available. You can also substitute soy milk, coconut milk, or non-fat milk.

• Smoothies can be made from anything you want, so go ahead and experiment with different ingredients. You can add mangoes, avocados, apples, peaches, papaya, oranges, or strawberries to the mix.

• The chia egg recipe is equivalent to one whole chicken egg. Make a bigger batch for a big breakfast!
