How To Make Vegan Mac And Cheese

Mac and Cheese is a dish of English origin. It is made with cooked macaroni pasta and a cheese sauce. With this recipe, you will be able to make a vegan mac and cheese at home. The pasta used is whole wheat macaroni. The creamy and tasty cheese sauce is made from soy milk, garlic, sea salt, yellow mustard, paprika, nutritional yeast, and soybean oil. The people you serve this vegan mac and cheese to will not even notice that there is neither cheese nor milk in it, as this dish is absolutely delicious.


• 500 grams of whole wheat macaroni
• 4 cups of soy milk
• 1 oz sea salt
• 10 cloves garlic
• 3 tbsp organic yellow mustard
• 2 tsp fresh paprika
• 2 cups of nutritional yeast
• 1 1/2 cups of soybean oil
• 2 tbsp fresh parsley


This recipe takes about 60 minutes to make. Serves 6 to 8.

Cook macaroni according to packet instructions.
Drain and transfer to a large mixing bowl.
To make the cheese sauce, put soy milk, sea salt, garlic, organic yellow mustard, fresh paprika, and nutritional yeast in a blender.
Blend for 1 minute.
Gradually pour soybean oil into the blender while the blender is on.
Blend until smooth.
Pour cheese sauce into the macaroni.
Mix well and transfer to a baking dish.
Sprinkle fresh parsley on top.
Bake in the oven at 350°F for 45 minutes.

Ideas And Tips:

• Aside from soy milk, you can use almond milk, hemp milk, rice milk, flax milk, hazelnut milk, quinoa milk or cashew milk.

• You can substitute nutritional yeast with 2 ½ cups of shredded vegan cheese.

• You can also cook the mac and cheese on the stove. Simmer in a pan over low heat while stirring constantly for 10 to 15 minutes.
