Post-Workout High Carb Smoothie

After an exhausting workout, you need to replace lost carbohydrates in your body. A refreshing way to do this is to make yourself an all-natural post-workout smoothie. A perfect combination to create this high-carb post-workout smoothie is Banana and Medjool. Banana has 93% carbohydrates, 3% fat, and 4% protein. It also contains natural sugars which will help replace the lost glycogen in the body and potassium which help repair muscles. Medjool dates are considered the healthiest natural sweeteners. They are a natural energy booster and high in dietary fiber. This high-carb smoothie can also be your pre-workout smoothie as it will provide you the energy you’ll need for that strenuous workout:

• 4 bananas
• 8 Medjool dates
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 1 tsp ginger powder
• 1 liter of water

This recipe takes about 5 minutes to make. Serves 4 to 5.

Put all the ingredients in a blender.
Blend until smooth.
Pour into glasses and serve.

Ideas And Tips:

• You can use nut milk or any plant-based milk instead of water to make the smoothie creamier.

• Adding a little lemon juice also enhances the flavor of the smoothie.

• You can add nuts and berries to this smoothie too.
