Red Beans and Rice Recipe | Crockpot Recipes

Red beans and rice is a flavorful crockpot recipe filled with a mixture of red beans, Andouille sausage, bell pepper, white onion, celery and seasonings. You can add creole seasoning and more spices if you want more flavor to this recipe. It is a perfect dinner dish for friends and family over the weekend.

Ingredients:

• 1/2 lb cajun smoked Andouille sausage (chopped)
• 1 lb red kidney beans
• 4 cups chicken broth
• 2 cups water
• 2 cloves garlic (minced)
• 1 medium white onion (diced)
• 1 green bell pepper (diced)
• 3 celery stalks (chopped)
• 1/2 tsp kosher salt
• 1/4 tsp chili powder
• 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
• some chopped green onions (to garnish)

Instructions:

Prepare a crockpot.
Add red kidney beans, diced bell pepper, minced garlic, diced white onion, chopped sausages and chopped celery.
Pour chicken broth and water.
Season with Worcestershire sauce, kosher salt and chili powder.
Stir to combine.
Cover the pot and cook on high for six hours.
After six hours, transfer to a plate or bowl.
Serve with rice and sprinkle some chopped green onions for garnishing.
