Roasted Cauliflower Recipe

Cauliflower is considered one of the healthiest food in the world. it is usually the head that is consumed, similar to broccoli. Its name derives from the Latin word “caulks” which means cabbage. There are different types of cauliflower, but the white version is the most common one.

This recipe shows you a very simple way to enjoy cauliflower. Seasoned with spices and roasted in the oven, this is a healthy, 100% vegan, and crunchy dish. You can eat roasted cauliflower as a snack, or as a side dish.

Ingredients:

• 1 head of cauliflower
• 3 tbsp of olive oil
• Half a tsp of turmeric
• Half a tsp of smoked paprika
• Juice from half of a lemon
• Half a tsp of chili powder
• 3 minced garlic cloves
• 2 tbsp of soy sauce
• Salt
• Freshly ground black pepper

Instructions:

This recipe takes about 50 minutes to make. Serves 3 to 4.

Preheat oven to 425F.
Place parchment paper on baking sheet.
Chop the cauliflower head into bite-size florets. Wash and pat dry.
Place cauliflower florets in a bowl. Add olive oil, lemon juice, and spices.
Toss together until all the florets are coated with seasonings.
Spread out the florets on the baking sheet.
Roast the florets in the oven for 35 to 40 minutes. Stir from occasionally.

Ideas And Tips:

You can use any type of spice and herbs in this recipe. Aside from cauliflower, you can substitute with other vegetables like squash, artichokes, zucchini, and sweet potatoes.

Keep the cauliflower florets warm by letting it sit in the oven after it has been turned off. You can remove then once you are ready to serve them.
