How To Make Raw Coconut Yogurt

Yogurt is a dairy product typically made from the fermentation of milk. However here is a yogurt made without milk! In this recipe, we’ll go through the steps of how to make raw coconut yogurt. The main ingredients are coconut meat, coconut water, and probiotic powder. If you are into healthy eating, then you can consider mixing this raw coconut yogurt into your smoothies, or prepare this raw food for your breakfast.


• 2 cups meat of one raw, young coconut
• or 1 x 16 oz frozen shredded young coconut (as an alternative)
• 2 capsules probiotic powder (opened, capsule discarded)
• 1/4 cup coconut water (or filtered water as alternative)


Prepare a blender or food processor.
Add shredded young coconut meat, probiotic powder, and a little bit of coconut water into the processor.
Blend well to combine and until the mixture is smooth.
Transfer to a mason jar.
Close the lid and place it in an oven-proof bowl.
Leave it in a warm place for 6-12 hours.
This will allow the mixture to grow and turn into a thick yogurt.
You can also put it inside the oven with a temperature of 90 F for 6-12 hours.
Remove from the warm place or the oven.
Stir the mixture.
Store in the fridge.
You can serve it right away.
You can also mix with smoothies or other recipes.

Tips and ideas:

It is important to note that the mason jar should not be filled completely with the yogurt mixture. It has high probiotics and it is expected to grow when stored overnight.

Coconut Cookies Recipe Without Oven

Coconut cookies is a tasty food you can eat at breakfast paired with milk or a healthy smoothie. These coconut cookies are perfect in any kind of season. Kids and adults would surely enjoy munching these delicious and chewy cookies. This recipe takes about 50 minutes to prepare and cook. Enjoy!


• 1 cup all-purpose flour
• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/2 cup powdered sugar
• 1/2 cup melted ghee or clarified butter
• 1/2 cup desiccated coconut
• 1-2 tbsp milk (if required)


Prepare a steel plate.
Apply ghee well.
Dust it with flour.
Set aside.

Add powdered sugar and melted ghee or clarified butter in a mixing bowl.
Whisk for a few minutes.
Add all-purpose flour, desiccated coconut, and baking powder.
Mix the ingredients until well combined.
Add milk if required.
Mix well until cookie dough is formed.

Set a “Kadhai” or any large deep cooking pot.
Place any kind of steel stand in the middle.
Cover and preheat on low flame for 10 minutes.
Scoop a small mixture of dough and roll into a smooth ball.
Lightly flatten the dough.
Coat with desiccated coconut well.
Place in the dusted plate.
Place the plate with the cookies in it inside the preheated Kadhai.
Let it cook for 25-30 minutes or until it becomes golden brown.
If you are using an oven, then let it cook for 12-15 minutes at 180 C.
Once the color changes to golden, remove it from the Kadhai.
Serve and enjoy!

Coconut Dream Dessert (Vegan) Recipe

In this vegan coconut cream dessert recipe, a combination of coconut milk and soy milk is partially reduced, giving the dessert a creamier texture. The pistachios add a delightful crunch while the cardamom and saffron add an interesting aroma and spice. This coconut dream dessert is absolutely quick and easy to make. You can prepare it ahead of time and just let it set in the fridge.

Agar-agar is a plant-based gelatin substitute made from seaweed. It is commonly used as a stabilizer and a thickener. The earliest type of agar-agar sold in the market is in the form of bars. These days you will see agar-agar in the forms of powder, flakes, sheets, and strips. Aside from being more affordable than gelatin, agar-agar sets faster and gives a firmer texture that’s why more people now prefer using it.


• 1 cup of coconut milk
• 2 cups of soy milk
• ¾ cup of sugar
• ¼ cup of shredded coconut
• 20 pistachios, crushed
• 2 tsp agar-agar powder
• ¼ cup of water
• ¼ tsp crushed cardamom
• ¼ tsp of crushed saffron


This recipe takes about 15 minutes to make. The gelatin needs to set for 2 to 3 hours in the fridge. Serves 8.

Put coconut milk, soy milk, sugar, shredded coconut, and pistachios in a large pot.
Bring to boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
Once the mixture boils, cook for another 7 to 8 minutes. Stir occasionally.
Dissolve agar-agar powder in water.
Mix in cardamom and saffron.
Pour agar-agar mixture into the pot and stir well.
Boil for 3 minutes while stirring constantly.
Turn off heat.
Pour gelatin mixture into small bowls for individual servings or into a large glass baking dish.
Refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours before serving.

Ideas And Tips:

• Aside from pistachios, you can use other nuts such as cashew nuts, peanuts, macadamia nuts, walnuts or pecans.

• You may substitute soy milk with cashew milk or almond milk.
