Chicken Sandwich Recipe

Chicken sandwich is a popular dish usually homemade. It only consists of buns and a chicken mixture. It’s a very quick and easy recipe that you can prepare with your kids at home. It can be served with fries, bacon strips, mashed potatoes, or a mushroom soup for lunch or dinner.

Ingredients:

For the chicken filling:
• 400 grams boneless chicken (cut to thin strips)
• 1/2 cup onion (thinly sliced)
• 3 medium green chilies (chopped)
• 2 tsp garlic and ginger (grated)
• 225 grams cream cheese
• 3 tbsp fresh coriander (chopped)
• 1/2 tsp coriander powder
• 1/2 tsp cumin powder
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1/4 tsp black pepper
• 3 tbsp cooking oil

• 8 bread slices

Instructions:

This recipe takes 15 minutes. Serves 4.

For the chicken filling:
Set a pan over medium heat.
Add oil and let it heat.
Saute onions until translucent.
Add grated garlic and ginger and chopped green chilies.
Stir for a minute.
Add boneless chicken.
Cook for 3-4 minutes.
Season with salt, black pepper, cumin powder, and coriander powder.
Stir it.
Cover the pan and let it cook for 5 minutes over medium-low heat.
Switch off heat.
Let it cool for 2-3 minutes.
Add cream cheese and chopped coriander.
Mix until well combined.

Assembly:
Spoon a generous amount of the chicken filling on a slice of bread.
Cover it with another slice of bread and press down.
Repeat with another set of bread slices.

Cut in half or serve as it is.
Enjoy!
