Better Than Takeout And Easy! Chinese Chicken Fried Rice Recipe

This 15-minute easy and quick Chinese chicken fried rice recipe is a savory dish you can prepare for everybody! You can even just use leftover rice and whatever vegetables you see inside your fridge. This can be served for dinner, especially if you don’t have enough time or you don’t know what to prepare.

Ingredients:

• 150 grams chicken (cubed)
• 1 tsp cornstarch
• 1 tsp soy sauce
• 1 tsp vegetable oil
• Pinch of baking soda

• 2 eggs (beaten)
• 5 tbsp oil
• 2 cups rice (cooked)
• 1 tbsp garlic (minced)
• 1/4 cup red onion (diced)
• 1/3 cup green beans
• 1/2 cup carrot (chopped)
• 1/4 cup spring onion (chopped)

• 1 tbsp light soy sauce
• 2 tsp dark soy sauce
• 1/4 tsp salt
• Pepper to taste

Instructions:

This recipe takes about 15 minutes. Makes 2 servings.

Put cubed chicken in a mixing bowl.
Add with 1 tsp cornstarch, 1 tsp soy sauce, 1 tsp vegetable oil, and a pinch of baking soda.
Mix until chicken is well coated.
Set aside and marinate for 30 minutes.

Whisk 2 eggs.
Set a wok or skillet over medium heat.
Heat 1 tsp oil.
Pour the egg mixture and wait for about 30 seconds for the egg mixture to be fluffy.
Stir and break into small pieces.
Once done, remove from the skillet, then transfer to a plate.
Set aside.

In the same skillet, add 2 tbsp oil and heat it.
Add the marinated chicken.
Saute for 1-2 minutes.
Add minced garlic, diced red onion, green beans, chopped carrot.
Stir fry for 2-3 minutes.
Season with salt to taste.
Stir to combine well.
Remove from the skillet and transfer to a plate.
Set aside.

In the same skillet, heat 2 tbsp oil.
Add cooked rice.
Stir fry and break into pieces for 2-3 minutes.
Add 1 tbsp light soy sauce and 2 tsp dark soy sauce.
Mix until well combined.
Add vegetable mixture, egg, and chicken set aside from earlier.
Mix until well combined.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Stir once again.
Remove from the heat and transfer to a plate.
Serve and enjoy!

Tips and ideas:

You can use leftover rice for this recipe and add more vegetables to your preference.

How to Make Bubble Tea from Scratch

Bubble tea, also called milk tea or boba tea, is a drink that originated from Taiwan. It is a tea-based drink with a mix of milk and tapioca balls. In this recipe, tapioca balls will be made from scratch using tapioca starch, cocoa powder, water, and brown sugar.

Ingredients:

Tapioca Balls:

• 100 grams tapioca starch
• 6 grams cocoa powder
• 65 grams water
• 40 grams brown sugar

Syrup:

• 35 grams sugar
• 70 grams water

Tea:

• 20 grams water
• 1 cinnamon stick
• 2 cardamoms
• 2 cloves
• 8 grams black tea
• 100 grams milk

• some ice cubes

Instructions:

In a mixing bowl, add 100 grams of tapioca starch.
Sift in 6 grams of cocoa powder.
Mix well until combined.
Set aside.

Set a non-stick frying pan over medium heat.
Add 65 grams of water and 40 grams of brown sugar.
Stir to combine and let it boil.
Once it starts to boil, turn off the heat.
Add the tapioca starch mixture.
Mix well to combine.
Transfer to a clean work surface.
Knead until thick and smooth.
Roll it out like to a thin rope.
Cut the rope into green pea-size pieces.
Make each piece into a small ball, which will be the tapioca ball.
Place the tapioca balls in a bowl.
Sprinkle some flour to avoid the balls from sticking to each other.

Set a medium pot over medium heat.
Fill it with water and let it boil.
Once it starts to boil, add the small balls into the ppt.
Boil for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, strain the water.
Wash the tapioca balls in cold water.
Set aside.

Set a medium pot over medium heat.
Add 70 grams of water and 35 grams of sugar.
Mix well and let it boil.
Add the small balls into the pot.
Stir well, then remove from the heat.
Place in the fridge to cool.

Grind a cinnamon stick, cardamoms, and cloves.
Add it in a pot with 20 grams of water.
Set it over low heat and let it boil for 3 minutes.
Add 8 grams of black tea into the pot.
Boil for another 3 minutes.
Once done, strain the tea.
Add 100 grams of milk.
Set aside.

Assembly:

Prepare a glass.
Add the cooled tapioca balls to the glass.
Add some ice cubes.
Pour the milk and tea mixture into the glass.
Serve and enjoy!

French Macaron Recipe | ALL the Tips and Tricks!

French macarons are a type of confectionery first introduced in France. A macaron, not to be confused with a “macaroon”, is a kind of meringue “cookie” with a buttercream filling. Making macarons is notoriously a bit tricky. The batter should have a smooth consistency without lumps or bubbles. All the tips and tricks are here in this recipe.

Ingredients:

• 100 grams egg whites (at room temperature)
• 130 grams confectioner’s sugar
• 140 grams almond flour
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 1/4 tsp cream of tartar
• 100 grams fine granulated sugar
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 2 drops of soft pink food coloring
• some French buttercream

Instructions:

Sift into a bowl 130 grams of confectioner’s sugar and 140 grams of almond flour.
Transfer to a food processor.
Push until well combined.
Once done, sift the mixture again into a bowl.
Put it back again in the food processor and process.
Sift it again.
Set aside.

Prepare a stand mixer.
Add 100 grams of egg whites into the mixer.
Mix at low speed until bubbles form.
Add 1/4 tsp each of salt and cream of tartar.
Let it mix until well combined.
Gradually drizzle 100 grams of fine granulated sugar while mixing.
Let it mix until soft peaks form.
Add 1 tsp of vanilla extract.
Continue to mix until firm peaks form.
Transfer to a mixing bowl.
Whisk until thick and stiff peaks form.
Add 1/3 cup of the flour mixture.
Fold to combine.
Add the remaining flour mixture.
Fold to combine.
Add 2 drops of soft pink food coloring.
Fold to combine.
Continue to fold until the mixture has no bubbles and has a smooth consistency.
Transfer into a piping bag with a #12 tip.

Preheat oven to 320 F.

Prepare a parchment-lined baking sheet.
You can use a macaron sheet as a guide to make the French macarons.
Pipe out the batter into each guide, not filling each guide throughout.
Finish each pipe with a swirl.
Tap the sheet to spread the batter in each guide and even out the swirls.
Leave the sheet for 45 minutes.
Place it inside the preheated oven.
Bake for 12-15 minutes.
Once done, remove from the oven.
Let it cool for a few minutes.
Pair the macarons in twos.
Pipe out a French buttercream (or any buttercream) in between two macarons.
Do this with the rest of the macarons and buttercream.
Place them in the fridge overnight or for up to 3 days.
Serve and enjoy!

Tips and ideas:

If you are going to make 2-3 sheets of French macarons, bake one sheet at a time and not all at once.
