Epic Raw Marinera

Marinara sauce is a popular, robust Italian sauce made from tomatoes and herbs. Because of the blend of spices and herbs, it tends to be spicier than the standard tomato sauce. It was said to have originated from the sailors of Naples who spend a great amount of time at sea. They needed meals made from ingredients which were easy to transport and resistant to spoiling. Thus, marinara sauce = “mariners’ sauce” was invented. A reason for its popularity is that it’s easy and quick to prepare. The sauce is also very versatile that’s why it is used in many Italian dishes.
