Make this easy and flavorful Turkish bread for breakfast or lunch. No oven is required for this recipe. You only need to mix all the ingredients and shape them into flatbread, then fry. Sprinkle some chili flakes and chopped parsley for serving. Serve with a healthy smoothie to have a delicious breakfast.
Ingredients:
• 500 grams flour
• 1 tsp salt
• 2 tbsp dry yeast
• 150 ml warm water
• 150 ml warm milk
• 3 tbsp olive oil
• some oil (for serving)
• some chili flakes (for serving)
• some chopped parsley (for serving)
Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, add 500 grams of flour.
Add 1 tsp salt and 2 tbsp dry yeast.
Mix until well combined.
Pour 150 ml of warm water and 150 ml of warm milk.
Mix until well combined.
Add 3 tbsp olive oil.
Mix until thick and well combined.
Form into a round dough.
Cover the mixing bowl with plastic wrap.
Set it aside for an hour to increase in size.
After an hour, transfer the dough to a work surface.
Divide it into six equal portions.
Shape each portion into a small round dough.
Dust the work surface with flour.
Roll out the dough to make a flatbread using a rolling pin.
Do this with the rest of the dough.
Set a non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat.
Fry each flatbread for 2-3 minutes on each side.
Do this with the rest of the flatbread.
Brush each with some oil, then sprinkle with chili flakes and chopped parsley.
Serve and enjoy!
