There are many Indian masala recipes and they are all tasty in a unique way. This one is not an exception. It has a great combination of spices and veggies, it is very healthy, and to top it all off – it is very easy and quick to make. Make it once and you will definitely want to make it more.
Ingredients:
• 8 oz. mushroom
• ½ bell peppers in every colour (red, yellow, orange, green)
• 2 tomatoes
• 1 red onion
• 2 tbsp cilantro
• 1 tsp of black pepper
• 1 tsp coriander powder
• 1 tsp cumin powder
• 1 tsp turmeric powder
• 1 tsp garam masala
• 1 tsp salt
• 2 green chilies
• 1 tbsp ginger paste
• 1 tbsp garlic paste
• 1 tsp cumin seed
• 1 tsp mustard seed
• 2 tbsp olive oil
• 2 tbsp tomato sauce
Instructions:
Cut mushrooms, peppers, tomatoes, and onion.
Heat olive oil in a pot and add ginger, garlic, cumin seed, and mustard seed.
Cook for about one minute.
Add the onion and keep stirring.
Sauté the onions until they are transparent.
Add the tomato and all of the spices.
Mix well and bring the heat to medium.
Cover the lid and let cook until the tomatoes mellow down for about 5 minutes.
Add the mushrooms and mix well.
Cover the lid and cook for five minutes on medium.
When the mushrooms are cooked, add bell peppers and tomato sauce.
Mix well and add cilantro.
Cover the lid again and cook for five more minutes.
Tips and ideas:
You can substitute chilies with paprika.
If you want to, you can add any other vegetables too.
