Cinnamon rolls are a type of sweet rolls popular in Northern Europe. These rolls have primary ingredients such as flour, butter, cinnamon, and sugar that give them their classic sweet, tasty flavor. But these sweet rolls have a healthy twist in this recipe – beacuse we’ll prepare healthy + natural ingredients like ripe bananas, dates, vanilla bean powder, and cinnamon for our favorite kind of bun. The process takes a little longer because we’ll be using a dehydrator to prepare the bananas that will serve as the dough sheet.
• 3-4 large ripe bananas
• 1/2 cup soaked raisins
• 1/2 cup soaked dates
• 1 tbsp vanilla bean powder
• Cinnamon to taste
• Little amount of water used in soaking raisins
• Chopped soaked raisins
Peel off the skin of the ripe bananas.
Lay down the bananas and slice them in half horizontally.
Place the bananas on the dehydrator at 105 F for 5 hours.
Meanwhile, prepare a blender.
Add 1/2 cup of soaked raisins, 1/2 cup of soaked dates, 1 tbsp vanilla bean powder, cinnamon to taste, and a little amount of water from soaking the raisins.
Blend until it looks like a paste.
Transfer the date paste to a bowl.
Get the bananas out of the dehydrator.
The banana slices should be dry.
Spread date paste on each banana slice.
Put chopped soaked raisins on it.
Roll the banana slice inward to form a cinnamon.
You can make small or big cinnamon rolls.
Spread the top of each roll with date paste.
Sprinkle some chopped soaked raisins on top.
Place in the dehydrator at 105 F for 30 minutes.
Once done, take them out of the dehydrator.
Serve right away.
