The Best Seafood Lasagna Recipe

Lasagna is a popular Italian dish consisting of layers of pasta, ground meat and cheese. In this recipe, the traditional pasta dish is given a twist by adding seafood into the mixture instead of ground beef and tomato sauce. Add flavor to the seafood with liquid crab oil and creole seasoning. Add more cheese for a creamier and cheesier seafood lasagna. This recipe takes about 80 minutes to prepare and cook.

Ingredients:

• 1 lb medium uncooked shrimps (peeled, deveined and sliced)
• 1 lb crawfish tails
• 16 oz lump crabmeat
• 1 tbsp Creole seasoning
• 1 tbsp liquid crab oil
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• 2 cups fresh spinach
• 1 lb lasagna sheets
• 1 cup Fontina cheese (shredded)
• 2 cups Mozzarella cheese (shredded)

Filling:

• 8 oz garlic and herb cream cheese
• 1 cup Parmesan cheese (shredded)
• 8 oz sour cream

Add olive oil and heat it.
Add spinach and cook until wilted.
Once wilted, remove from the skillet and transfer to a plate.
Set aside.

Sauce:

In the same skillet, add butter and let it melt.
Once melted, add minced garlic and saute for 30 seconds.
Gradually add all-purpose flour while stirring to combine.
Next, pour the chicken stock while stirring the mixture in the skillet.
Continue to stir while pouring half and half.
Whisk until there are no lumps in the mixture.
Let it cook until thick.
Once thick, season with Creole seasoning and cracked black pepper to taste.
Stir to combine.
Add shredded parmesan cheese.
Stir until cheese melts.
Once it melts, switch off the heat.

There will be three layers in the baking dish.
Spray a baking dish with non-stick spray.
Spread a thin layer of sauce on the bottom of the pan.
Add a layer of lasagna sheets on top.
Add the filling on top and spread to distribute evenly.
Add the seafood, followed by the spinach.
Top it off with shredded Fontina and Mozzarella cheese.
Spread another layer of sauce on top of the cheese.
Do two more layers.
The final layer should be shredded cheese.
Place inside the preheated oven.
Let it bake for 35-45 minutes.
